This is the name of the area in which I live in Almaty. Almost every day I walk along the canal, I buy groceries in Magnum. On the video are drawings of real people that I meet every day. Last December, I planned to create a pastoral video wallpaper about the area. But events in January changed the original plan. The video begins with a familiar picture on Koktem(Vesnovka); young mothers are chatting on a bench, men are playing cards and dominoes, pigeons are pecking at bread crumbs, Esentai Tower and a springboard are looming in the distance. Gradually, strange creatures appear from under the benches, resembling small dinosaurs or a kangaroo with a ram's head, and fill the entire space. This character "Rukhani-kangaroo", appeared earlier in my video, in "Balkhash dreams-Rukhani kangaroo" to the verses of the poet Anuar Duyssenbinov.
